Josh and Zac's Exit Statement

Hey guys,

Let me start by apologizing to you for the way everything went down on Saturday.  I had a statement typed ready to post to you guys but Hayley released one without my permission.  We were not going to issue a statement until we worked out our exit agreement with Hayley.  I wish it didn’t have to happen that way, Zac and I wanted to be the ones you heard it from.  I want to be honest with you guys about how this band formulated from day one. I did not think Hayley’s version told the whole story, at least from our perspective and hopefully this will explain a bit about why we are leaving. 
                Zac and I had a garage band in high school with the intentions of just making music for the love of it. We met Taylor and our friend Jason Clark at our school and found out that we shared the same musical tastes.  So, we asked them to join our band. It was some of the greatest times of our lives playing music in Taylor’s basement with them.  We obviously needed a lead singer and one day Zac met Hayley.  We asked her to come try out and eventually to join the band. 
                Months down the road things changed and this band became all about Hayley.  She had a manager at the time that controlled her every move along with her parents.  They didn’t like the idea of Hayley being in a rock band so they forced her to leave wanting her to pursue a solo career.
                Hayley went off to write and record her solo demos while the four of us continued on without her.  A couple of months later Hayley came and asked us if she could use the song “Conspiracy” that we had all previously written together.  We agreed that that would be fine.  I got a call a while after that from Hayley telling me that her manager said that Zac and I were invited to be back in the band (the band we started), but not Taylor and Jason because they weren’t good enough in his eyes. Hayley brought in Jeremy and our first rhythm guitarist Jason Bynum as the other two members.  
                 We travelled to LA a few weeks later for a showcase and it was a nightmare.  Hayley’s manager would tell the band to be in the lobby of the hotel at a certain time, but he and Hayley wouldn’t show for hours.  We found out that they had been meeting with record label executives all morning without us, which is totally weird given that this wasn’t simply a solo artist, but we were a band. The band was in the dark the whole time.  After many meetings between Hayley, her manager and the labels they decided to sign her to Atlantic records. We didn’t understand why Hayley was the only one signing the contract since we were told this was a “band”, but we were too young to grasp all of this.  So far, Zac and I haven’t signed with another label, although I guess our part of Paramore sure could. Next thing we knew we were having a signing party for Hayley. 
Our next move was to rerecord her solo demos with our own music rather than studio musicians to make it sound more genuine. Meanwhile, we tossed around band names. I wrote out a list of names, including “Paramore”, a name my old band with Taylor and Jason Clark had thought about using. Obviously, we settled on that name. The label received the rerecorded demos and once again tried to fire the entire band, saying we were terrible. Thankfully Hayley and I had been writing some new songs together (Hallelujah, Here We Go Again) that the label was pleased with so that acted as leverage for the band to stay. The label and management then decided to build our band up the grass-roots route. They put Hayley on Fueled by Ramen not making it known she was signed to Atlantic as well. All the while we still questioned whether or not we were an actual band, but Hayley continued to insist we were, despite our being ignored and pushed around by the label. 
They then sent us all to Orlando to rehearse and write eight hours a day for our first record. Half -way though this process, Jeremy decided to quit.  We were all really upset about it. So we finished the record, replaced Jeremy, and hit the road with Hayley’s father as our tour manager/driver of a twelve-passenger van. Her dad would constantly threaten to “pull the plug” on the whole band if we complained about anything, suggesting that we were hired guns and Hayley was the real artist, when in reality we were also part of the band. We’ve always been treated as less important than Hayley. It’s been obvious how her family views things.
Jeremy ended up rejoining and we toured non-stop for two and half years building our fan base, pretending to be a band that started naturally. In reality, what started as natural somehow morphed into a manufactured product of a major label, riding on the coattails of “Hayley’s dream.” 
Before recording our next record, we kicked out Jeremy for his lack of work ethic and participation in things that Zac, Hayley and I didn’t agree with.  At this point it was just the three of us to record Riot. Once the record was done, we needed a bassist and another guitarist. Eventually Zac and I convinced Hayley to let Taylor rejoin and she convinced us to let Jeremy back in, promising he had changed his ways.  Once again we hit the road and toured on our biggest record as a band. As you all know Hayley and I dated and broke up during this album cycle. Things then started going downhill for our band. Hayley and Jeremy’s views started changing from what we all once believed in. The band almost split after cancelling a tour in Europe, but we managed to keep it together somehow. This is when Zac and I started to consider quitting the band.
Once we finished touring on Riot, we came home for a break and started writing for Brand New Eyes. Hayley presented lyrics to us that were really negative and we didn’t agree with. For example, “the truth never set me free”, which contradicts what the Bible says in John 8:32 (“and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall sat you free”). We fought her about how her lyrics misrepresented our band and what we stood for, but in the end she got her way. Instead of fighting her any longer, we decided to just roll over and let it go. 
Hayley claimed that this record reunited us as band and made us grow closer together, when in reality we were all growing further apart. Suddenly the band had spilt into two sides. Touring became more difficult since we couldn’t agree on anything. The friendships our band once had were no longer existent. Amos 3:3 says, “Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction”.  In addition to the band turmoil, touring had really taken its toll on us both. We left home at such a young age and missed taking part in normal teenage years.  When you own part of a band and are constantly playing, you make sacrifices.  Touring has taken its toll on our family members as well. I specifically remember many moments where our parents would break down in tears when we had to leave. It broke my heart. Seeing our siblings grow up so much during our absences was never easy either. 
After a lot a prayer and counsel Zac and I came to the decision that it was time to leave the band. We truly feel that God is leading us elsewhere and is going to do great things with us. The intention of this statement was not to belittle or disgrace the rest of the band, it was simply to clarify our decision for leaving and our desire to finally tell you guys the truth.  We are still hoping to work out a friendly way to leave our part of Paramore intact with the remaining band members, including Hayley.  
We want to thank you guys for all of your love and support over the past 7 years. It’s been an honor creating and playing music for you. If music is what God calls us to in the future, we hope that you all will be a part of it.

A Reminder from God

....I heard trumphets, LOUD trumphets coming from the sky. When I looked up, I saw the clouds separating, like soldiers giving way for their king. Then and there I knew what was happening, what was prophesied to happen; It is the day that Jesus comes back to earth. I was right because suddenly angels started coming out of the clouds. My eyes were filled with tears for I knew I was not ready. I still have sins that needed repentance, and mistakes that needed correcting. But when I opened my eyes, it was a different setting. I was stepping on clouds! When I looked around, I saw people, a LOT of people, I recognized some but almost all of them I did not know. Then someone came to me and greeted me. I did not know him either but I was so confused I had to ask questions. I heard myself ask "Where am I?". Instead of answering my question, he answered "God has separated the faithful from the unfaithful.....we are the faithful." I felt an overwhelming joy pass through my heart but when I asked about some people that I knew if they were also saved, he just tapped my shoulder and looked down. Instantly I knew where they were. I fell to the ground..err..clouds, and started to cry..HARD! Joy was suddenly replaced with grief and guilt. It was my responsibility to share my faith to them. I could have done so much. I could have invited them to church. I could have introduced them to my Savior. I could have convinced them to study the Bible. I could have changed their hearts. I could have.....saved them. But now...


When I woke up, my pillow was filled with tears and sweat. yuck! This was the third time I dreamed about this. I feel so blessed that God allowed me to see those things because I believe that He is reminding me that now that I became a Christian, I still have a mission. A mission that every disciple is destined to do and that is to go and preach the Word, share our faith, and make disciples of all nations. I almost forgot that I made a promise to myself that my mission is to let my loved ones, and everyone else, realize how God loves them and how they need to accept His unconditional love. Even though I'm still not sure if I will be saved when Jesus comes, I will still strive hard just for Jesus to tell me, and all my loved ones, those sweet words: "Well done, good and faithful servant."

                Yan ang scenario kanina sa school. Soooo FAIL! Thank God mababait ang mga prof ko and they didn’t stuff my mouth and nose with tissue paper. Paggising pa lang super sakit na ng ulo ko at walang gana kumain. If it weren’t for my allowance, din a sana ako tumayo sa kama! Haha! Joke. So ayun, uminom lang ng paracetamol, on my way to school na. I’ve tried SO hard not to cough pero its like Michael Jackson is dancing in my throat. Ang kati! And so, I tried several ways to keep my mouth shut pero fail pa rin. I tried eating lollipop pero pag cough ko I almost swallowed it! Tinakpan ko na lang ng panyo ang bibig ko para mabawasan ang sounds. Once again, sooo FAIL!

                It’s quite ironic really, coz I got sick when I went to the hospital. Pano nangyari un? Simple lang. I went to the ophthalmologist for my check up. Pag dating ko, basing basa yung likod ko kasi I had to walk from pasong tamo to Makati Med. Dahil naman sa kahenyohan ko, I decided na magpatuyo sa tapat ng aircon. Galing noh? Yan ang nagiisip. Sana lang gumaling na ako. Papapakin ko ang NEOZEP if I have to! Haha! Yun lang.

I think I'm Sick! :))

may sakit ata ako. i'm addicted na kasi in reading, yes reading, novels specifically Sidney Sheldon novels. Intriguing kasi ung bawat story nya and evry end ng isang chapter maeexcite ka na basahin kaagad ung susunod. Believe it or not pero I have managed to finish 6 books already!!! ganon ako naadik sa novels nya. I got 3 more books and I am currently reading one of them. Ang title ay "Morning, Noon and Night". and the other two are "Sands of Time" and "Windmills of the Gods". Sabihin ko lang ung short summary nung ibang mga nabasa ko nang books:

Tell Me your Dreams - it's about this three girls named Ashley Patterson, Toni Prescott and Alette Peters. magkaka-officemates silang tatlo tapos friends si allette and toni tapos ayaw ni toni kay ashley for some reasons. tapos each of them had a relationship with three different guys in three different places. tapos isa isang namatay ung guys na un tapos ang suspect ay si ashley coz lahat ng clues na nakikita sa crime scene ay related kay ashley. Un pala si Ashley, Toni, Alette ay iisang tao lang pala because Ashley is suffering from mulit-personality disorder kaya si Toni and Alette ay other personality lang ni Ashley but hindi sya aware na they exist. un pala si Toni pala ung pumapatay sa mga guys. tapos un. nagkaroon ng cout trial whether or not ikukulang si Ashley coz technically, siya talaga ung pumatay sa mga lalaki. pero hindi sya nakulong instead dinala sya sa hospital to be treated. At the end nawala na ung 2 personality ni Ashley and they lived happily ever after. ^_^

The Sky is Falling - It's about an anchorwoman, named Dana Evans, who is curious about dun sa isang broadcast nya about five of America's royal family na namatay in a series of accidents in less than a year. She believes that hindi accident ung nangyari at may conspiracy na naghhide ng katotohanan na may pumatay sakanila and she started her own investigation. Nung nalaman na nya ung katotohanan na may pumatay nga dun sa royal family, ung conspiracy na nagtatago nung truth ay hinahabol ngayon sya at ung family nya para patayin na din para di na kumalat ung information na nakuha nya. In the end, nasabi nya ung totoong story about the death nung family and they lived happily ever after. haha!

basta magaling si Sidney Sheldon gumawa ng novel. Two thumbs up.!

Kasi 10mins na lang ang natitira nyan at magsstart na ang quiz namin sa geom at kakastart ko pa lang magreview so nagpapanic na ako nyan. God's LOVE

A Letter to God

A man worked in a post office. His job was to process all mail that  had illegible addresses. One day a letter came to his desk, addressed in shaky handwriting to God. He thought, "I better open  this one and see what it's all about." So he opened it and it read:  "Dear God, I am a 83 year old widow living on a very small  pension. Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had a hundred dollars  in it which was all the money I had until my next pension check."

"Next Sunday is Mother's Day, and I had invited my last two friends  over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food  with." "I have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can  you please help me?" The postal worker was touched, and went around  showing the letter to all the others. Each of them dug into his  wallet and came up with a few dollars. By the time he made the  rounds, he had collected 96 dollars, which they put into an envelope  and sent over to her.

The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of  the nice thing they had done. Mother's Day came and went, and a few  days later came another letter from the old lady to God. All the  workers gathered around while the letter was opened. It read,  "Dear God, How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me?"  "Because of your generosity, I was able to fix a lovely dinner for  my friends. We had a very nice day, and I told my friends of  your wonderful gift. " "By the way, there was 4 dollars missing. It was no doubt those thieving bastards at the post office took it!!!!!!

FAIL! Haha! =)))))

Had a fun time last devo! I spent time with my kingdom bros and sis and eto yung mga nangyari:

Bernard – talked about some concerns sa school. Nagkwento siya na he had a “disagreement” with one of his classmates. Nabigyan ko naman sya ng advice pero I did not have the heart to say na may mali din sya. Siguro yun lang talaga ang weakness ko, magconfron ng tao. Namiss ko tuloy si Kevin Asio, that’s his job kasi dati sa teens na boys. Sakanya kami nagpaparebuke. Haha!

David – natalo ko na si david sa arm wrestling! Yeah I’m the man! :P The weight lifting is finally paying off. Winner! ^_^

Zaine – ayon nakipagasaran lang ako sakanya at pinagusapan ang gagawin ko sa debut. She requested nga na magtinikling daw ako na magisa lang ako. Tama ba naman yun? Haha! And kinulit naming siya ni david by calling her fone several times.

Kim – nag soundtrip kami sa loptop niya at nagpapasa din ako ng mga songs sakanya. Yehey new songs! Kinulit din naming yung fone nya. Haha!

Mel – kwentuhan ulit and tawanan. :P

Bia – obviously picture picture! Tska kwentuhan about sa blog, hair nya at ang pagsabi nya na siya daw si Hayley! FAIL! Haha..joke. Speaking of fail, grateful ako na may pinakita siyang video sa youtube na naiyak ako sa kakatawa. Haha! Tayoy mag otso otso. Hahaha!

Yza – talked about formspring, tumblr and kung ano ba talaga ang nauna: itlog o chicken. Surprisingly, nasagot ko naman! And take note. May sense yung sagot ko. Haha! Bravo for me. :>

Joey – I was asking him kung pwede ko ba Makita yung nakakaintrigang board game na binili nya na di niya daw maintindihan. Haha! I was wondering na rin for weeks kung ano bay un at kung pano ba laruin yun. Unfortunately, di ko nakita yung board game. Sayang! Next time na lang.

I realized na may bad news and good news pala ako. The bad news…Naubos na Bazooka ko! Pero the good news…Nashare ko yun sa loved ones ko! Mas important yun!

Paranormal Activities! :|

It was 11:00pm and i was still on the computer. It's already late but I was not even close to getting sleepy. Usually I go to sleep 8:30pm pa lang pero di ko alam bakit di ako makatulog. My slaves...I mean siblings (haha!) are already asleep, lalo na si Emman. Marelax lang sya ng sandali after 5 min bagsak na yan. So ayun...minutes passed, 11:30...11:45...11:59..then when it struck 12:00...wla lang...ganun pa din. suspense lang! haha! It was 1:30am nung tinamd na ako magtype. I shut the computer down and went to bed. Still not sleepy!!!! I was just staring at the ceiling, well at least I thought I was staring at the ceiling, It was so dark and I could not see a thing, but I was staring upward so...ah basta! bakit ko ba ineexplain toh. haha! Ayun...I think I was daydreaming for at least half an hour...then suddenly....
.....I heard our door sa baba nag screech...waaa!! bakit tumunog ung door? hindi dapat tumunog yun. I loked it for sure...I think. Inisip ko ng mabuti...tama nilock ko nga! bakit bumukas? or sumara? Lagot ako kanila mommy and daddy kapa may nakapasok na magnanakaw sa bahay. Wala kasi sila mommy and daddy nun, nasa antipolo. So there I was....di ko na alam ang gagawin. Ginising ko na si Emman...I told him na narinig ko yung door sa baba nagmove. Tumayo na din siya at pumunta kami sa stairs...there it was again. Now I was sure na di gawa gawa lang ng isip ko yung narinig ko kasi narinig din ni Emman. Mamaya maya pa ay narinig naman namin yung mga chairs gumagalaw. Okay this is getting way to scary! Being all heroic, pinabalik ko na lang si Emman sa room sabi ko ako na lang bababa pero nung bumalik na sya sa room, I just stared sa stairs. haha! mahirap na baka macho pala yung magnanakaw at di kayanin ng powers ko. haha! So ang ginawa ko na lang kinuha ko yung flashlight and dahan dahan ako bumaba habang tinitignan yung surroundings. When I made sure na wla akong nakita sa baba, tinawag ko si emman. We saerched again sa lahat ng sulok ng bahay. Nothing. Magnanakaw nga kaya yun? or somethin else...
I was watching paranormal activities earlier that day kasi kaya I can't help but compare yung situation nung mga bida sa movie with what had happened to me. I know medyo nonsense ang iniisip ko pero what will I think? Narinig ko talaga gumalaw yung mga gamit! pati si Emman narinig din.
So I simply concluded na....

I will never stay up late in my house ever again!! Scary! :| :)))

First time ko maggaganito so please bear with me.. :P
Ayun..Wednesday 7:30 ang first class ko ngunit sa kasamaang palad, sumakit ang tiyan ko!
Well I guess yun talaga ang consequence ng mga taong matatakaw.carelessly eating something,
even though you don't know if its edible, just to make your stomach full has its side effects. haha!
Anyway, hindi na ko umabot sa first class ko which is english. *dan dan dan dan* the second to the worst subject ko. Wag nyo na tanungin kung bakit......o sige sasabihin ko na. haha! e kasi ung prof ko dun soobrang, as in sooooobra talaga, favorite ako. Every meeting eto ang mga walang paltos na pinapagawa saakin:
magerase ng board,
maglead ng prayer,
magcheck ng attendance,
and the worst part...
magRECITE. galing noh.?! NOT!
I left my house at exactly 8:30 am. Mejo maaga kasi 10min lang naman ang commute to school pero 30min umaabot kapag maglalakad ako na parang naglalakad sa buwan sa sobrang antok, or in my case today, sobrang sama ng pakiramdam.
Good thing, na may halong bad thing, kasabay ko ang dearest sister ko na walang iba kundi si Hayley Williams..joke. wish ko lang. si Kiel. Good thing kasi isa sa pinaka ayaw ni Kiel ay ang malate kaya kinulit ako ng kinulit para magmadali. The bad thing is, MASAKIT SA TENGA! haha! ok lang may naisip akong way 2 get revenge. bwahaha! >:)
We got to the jeep na...ayan na malapit na ko bumaba...nagsabi na ako ng para...pagkastop na pagkastop ng jeep...*smack*...kiniss ko si Kiel sa cheeks. I know mejo cheesy pero ayaw na ayaw ni Kiel na kinikiss sya lalo outside of the house. I don't mind naman in my part as long as maasar ko sya. haha! I'm the best brother ever! woohoo! :P
I got to school 8:50 and drenched with sweat, thanks to my awesome sister. :|
I went to room 308 which is my room sa Analytic Geometry *dan dan dan dan* only to find out na wala palang classes. magkakaroon lang kami ng attendance if we attend this seminar thing about a new programming language bla bla bla. haha! ayun. 1 hr 30 min akong nakatulala staring at the powerpoint presentation ng speaker.
It was already 10:30 and I realized 1 good news and 1 very bad news.
The good news is nawala na ng tuluyan ang sakit ng tummy ko.
The very bad news is....I'M HUNGRY! Di ko na natiis...umalis na ko sa seminar. Ok lang kasi nakuha ko na ang aking precious attendance. Tinawag ko na ang aking EATmates na sina Simeon Ng at the chubby Renz Aringo.
"With great hunger comes great financial problem" yan ang iniisip ko as I was staring sa menu ng Jolibee. ang mamahal! kapiranggot lang naman. I bought beef mushroom with extra extra rice. Ngunit sa kasamaang palad, wala pang 15min ay nagteleport lahat ito sa tiyan ko ng di ko man lang namamalayan. trouble struck. Biglang may humampas sakin na alaala. MAY BAON PALA AKO! I'm really glad I'm a mama's boy. joke. WOW giniling na beef..again. pero ok lang at least nakaabot na sa tiyan ko ang kinain ko! SUCCESS!
After that wonderful experience, wala na akong naalala. I started daydreaming which is my habit of doing kapag busog. Okay lang dahil puro nonsense lang ang nangyari sa mga sumunod na subject. My third subject was Rizal *dan dan dan dan*. Nag report lang ang isa sa mga classmates ko about his journey to intramuros which di naman kasali sa test kaya...daydream mode!
Makalipas ang 1hr 30min..natapos na ang Rizal and here comes the subject of all subject, ang subject na maraming napatumbang student..PHYSYCS! *dan dan dan dan* First the prof distributed our seatwork...95/100..pwede na! haha! Then he prepared his lesson sa computer. Miracle struck. nasira ang files ni mam! yes! buti na lang kasi I was not mentally prepared at that time...daydream mode!
This is it...the moment I've been waiting for..*drum roll* HUMANITIES!! woohoo..I'm not a real fan of this subject pero may film showing kami ngayon and we are gonna watch "Ninja Assassin" cool! or so I thought it was. Umpisa pa lang may nabeheaded na kagad gamit ang sword nung ninja. Sooo morbid. Other than the blood and the flying body parts, overall I think it was a good movie. 2 thumbs up! haha! :)))
4:30..Yes dismissal time! I was wondering if I will walk sa sakayan ng jeep or magtricycle na ko. I can't decide!!! Then I saw the way where I was supposed to walk...ANG INET! Ok tricycle time.
When I got home, ON ng computer then magscan for virus, ON ang DVD player then isaksak ang USB at iplay ang paramore na folder. open ang ref para sa merienda! woohoo may tinola at may rice. eating time!! After finnished eating, iniisip ko if I was gonna do my assignment, sleep, lift weights, or learn to play a new song sa guitar. I was too tired to lift weights so bukas na lang. haha! I don't have classes tomorrow naman so bukas na lang din yung assignments. hahaha! I'f you think I'm procrastinating...then your right! :)))) I was not sleepy na coz nahyper ako sa mga songs. so eto, went to the computer, opened ultimate-guitar.com and searched for some songs. I managed to master 3 songs today:
1.)My Friends Over You by New Found Glory
2.)Boys Don't Cry by The Cure (luma na etong band na 2 pero influence daw sila ng paramore so I'm trying to absorb their songs.)
3.)Now and Forever by Richard Marx
after finishing the songs. nagfacebook na ko! chatted with some friends tapos biglang may nagPM na makulit na kaibigan na si Jolo Galano. Gumawa daw ako ng BLOG. sabi ko "masarap ba yun?" then I realized hindi pala food yun. haha! so youn kinulit ako ng kinulit hanggang sa napuno na ako. naghanap ako ng mga tao that were using this BLOG. hindi naman sikat etong blog na 2 kasi wla namang gumagamit until meron nanaman na humampas sakin na memory. Meron na pala nakapagsabi sa akin na she is using blog at yun ay si Bia Montealegre. Swerte at nakaOL sya. nagtanong ako and as expected. no useful information. haha! ang sagot ba naman "magkkwento ka." the end. winner! haha! So instead of waiting a good answer, I decided to visit na lang her blog. Binasa ko sandali..and then....wahahahah! :)))) FUNNEH! :P
So that's why I ended up making my own blog. kasi nakakatuwa sya and most of all..NAKAKAGUTOM! haha! so ayun. tapos na. The End.
